Shea & Company at Songwritters Event

Recently, my husband and I, along with our friends, were invited to attend a Songwritters Event at the IBAT convention (thank you Ramona!) at Lost Pines Resort. Our evening started by relaxing in our luxurious rooms and then off to dinner before the show. Once at the show, we had wonderful seats to enjoy an evening full of music and entertainment. The featured songwritters were Paul Overstreet, Dean Dillion & Scotty Emerick. You might not know these gentlemen by their names, but you most certainly know their songs. Dean has written 25 #1 hits for George Strait, Scotty Emerick's songs have been featured on Toby Keith's albums and Paul Overstreet has written for Randy Travis & Tanya Tucker just to name a few. Our favorite part of the evening is when Paul Overstreet sang "When You Say Nothing at All". Bill and I danced our first dance at our wedding to this very song.

I have posted pictures of all of us at the event. Please meet John & Jennifer Rex and my husband, Bill. Our friends, Spike & Colleen Rogers left early. But I promise to post a picture of the Rogers so you can meet them soon!
